Tell something about yourself
Hi, I am Namita Pandey engineer by profession and homemaker by choice born in the divine city Prayagraj (earlier Allahabad) and married to Mr Mridul who is from Kashi (Varanasi).
My daughter Aparna will be graduating as computer science engineer soon and my son Aniruddh is in grade 9. I have my own shares of ups and downs but Life has given me million reasons to smile.

What as per you is your strength?
According to me, my greatest strength is positive attitude towards life and non egoistic friendly nature.
Do you suggest any thumb rule for the new mums or mums-to-be?

To whom, do you want to pay gratitude, for helping you out in your motherhood journey?
My sincere gratitude to my mom my husband my children and not to forget one Tamilian aunty whom I met in Chennai almost 21 years back when my daughter was an year old (details sometime later )
Any change that you expect from your-generation parents from the earlier generation parents.
yes definitely there is so much to learn from our parents
They kept everything so simple
They didn’t follow any diet plan
There was no google to tell them how to raise their child still they were perfect in every little thing they did
I remember my mom applying hing near the navel to soothe the crying colic baby before rushing to the doctor or coming with salt and chilli in her hand moving it around baby’s head and announcing “ nazar lagne se ro raha thaa “and it worked like charm every single time no science law can explain this. We need to learn the age old wisdom before it is lost.
Are you happy to be a homemaker or do you wish to switch to a full-time profession along with the passage of time?
I am very happy to be a home maker. It gives immense pleasure and satisfaction to see my children doing well in life.
If given an opportunity I would prefer to do something from home now that my kids are grown up but for taking up full time career my answers remains a loud NO..

Do you want to share a memory of your childhood which you always relish?
Yes, I always tell stories to my kids about how we use to stuff old cloth in the opening in the patio fill rain water and then swim and play for hours with a bunch of like minded cousins or how guessing next song in “Chitrahaar at 8pm was a game which nobody wanted to loose or gazing at stars lying on bed and making shapes in sky was our night time ritual..
Can you figure out one similarity with - your mom and you as a mom?
My mom never scolded me or my brother. She was always on her toes for all our demands.
I agree I am not as patient as she was, but yes I also try to follow her principles as far as possible
anything anytime always n forever for kiddos..

That one habit of yours which you wish could be changed?
I wish to change my over thinking anxious nature.
That one mischief of your child/children on which you can laugh for long.
There are many memories but few are fresh till date. My son was 2 year old he saw a picture kept on my side table. He was little curious and asked," Mumma - papa, u and didi all are there, why I am not in this photo? “
I told him u we’re in my tummy my dear
He looked up and said
Oh u ate me mumma !! and started crying. It took me so long to explain him it was a joke and I love him..
When I think of that day it brings smile on my face every single time...
Happy Motherhood..
