Tell something about yourself.
I am a proud mother to a 7 years old boy. And a homeopathic doctor by profession. I love listening to people and above that I love painting.
How do you balance your married life and career?
I got married shortly after my internship and was a homemaker then. But I always wanted to persuade my profession. So with a lot of help from my husband now I am a Homoeopathic Medical Officer. We just need to prioritize things depending on the situation.
What as per you is your strength?
Patience. That's something I have learnt from my father. Face every situation with patience.
What’s that one vow which you take in your motherhood journey?
Never impose on your kids. They have their own rules. Be a friend and most importantly keep a look.
Do you suggest any thumb rule for the new mums or mums-to-be?
DON'T GET STRESSED and GO WITH THE FLOW. The instincts of a mother will help you throughout the way of motherhood.
Any change that you expect from your-generation parents from the earlier generation parents.
Never be too obsessive about the kids. This leads to overprotection and also expectations from the kids. We need to be flexible with the kids.
To whom, do you want to pay gratitude, for helping you out in your motherhood journey? Most of all I would thank my Mom. She guided me since the moment I became a Mom and is still guiding. And my husband and in-laws have always been by my side.
What type of future do you wish for your child? I will always want my kid to be happy and love doing whatever he wants. We are there just to guide them.
Do you feel - compromising on your career for your husband's job and transfer is acceptable?
I don't think we should compromise with our careers. Rather both should work out some way together.
That one mischief of your child/children on which you can laugh for long.
My kid is very mischievous. It suits the kids. But the witty excuses he has for every mischief leaves me awestruck. I just can't help smiling.
Happy Motherhood.
